New Ish

The new computer is finally here, just arrived yesterday as a matter of fact. I’m so stoked on it right now, it’s so fast. Huge difference from my last macbook (which was still great, just not enough for what I needed from it right now). flickr | website | twitter | tumblr.

Specs (basic):

  • MacBook Pro 15″ (Hi Res Display)
  • 2.3 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7
  • 8GB Ram
  • 750 GB Hard Drive

Check In

Went longboarding yesterday in Sag Harbor. The hills over there are gnarly. Most of them lead straight into an intersection with a stop sign, so it’s interesting I guess lol. We ended up bombing this steep one. 2/3 of us fell, turns out I’m chopped up pretty badly haha. Went fishing today to see if the salt water could help some of these cuts and burns heal up, burned like a bitch. flickr | website | twitter | tumblr.

Ketchup

Sorry I’ve been kind of absent lol, just that keeping up with this blog is a bitch for some reason. Summer has been dope though, just been surfing a bunch, burning, sleeping, and chilling. Really enjoying shit before the crazy amount of work I’m walking into this fall. Working on the lifestyle series as well (the last 2 posted are #42 and #43 of the series), pretty stoked with the way that’s coming along. Stay tuned for sure! (These are the most recent, don’t feel like posting anymore, so check the flickr -> for any more recent ones, should be a bunch.) flickr | website | twitter | tumblr.

Night Shooting

Went out for a quick midnight tree sesh on the beach and then snapped a few photos. Iridescent lights create some pretty sick lighting at night. I’ve seen a bunch of shots of this nature (here and here and here) - Jason Koxvold, Jason Koxvold, & Bryan Schutmaat respectively. Finally decided to stop being lazy and get some like that tonight. flickr | website | twitter | tumblr

The Beaches

We checked out Newport Beach first since that’s where the hotel is. That place is soo sick. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that many people surfing in such a small space, and the swells didn’t even look too good lol. The vibe is super chill, definitely somewhere I could live lol. After that we drove to Huntington Beach, that place is even sicker lol. That’s the first time ive seen the pier besides all the surfing video games it’s in. The mall around there is sick too, they have like 3 surf shops the size of warehouses, never seen something like that before lol. The food there is incredible too, I ate at Baja Sharkeez and it was absolutely ridiculous. Decided I’m going to live there eventually haha. We drove through Long Beach too on the way to LA but I was asleep/half-asleep for most of it, seemed like a pretty chill place as well though. flickr | website | twitter | tumblr
